PROVO, Utah – The family of Elizabeth Salgado has hired a lawyer to take a second look at the investigation.
Salgado’s body was found after she was missing for more than three years.
Rosemberg Salgado, Elizabeth’s uncle, said the family has faith in the Provo police department’s investigation.
He also said the family knows detectives have many cases they’re working on.
By hiring their own attorney to assist in the investigation, the family feels the search for Salgado’s killer will remain a priority.
Salgado went missing in Provo in 2015.
Her body was found up Hobble Creek Canyon in Utah County in May.
The family has been to Utah several times to speak with investigators, look at forensic evidence, and visit the spot where her body was found.
They continue to ask the public if anybody has any information to contact police.
