SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – How spooked can you get without leaving the Salt Lake valley? KSL TV’s adventure specialists Trace Worthington and Sean Smith made a visit to Nightmare on 13th to find out.
The haunted attraction — now in its 29th season — has added a few new nightmares this year, including the interactive X-Scream.
“It’s a full-sensory experience,” said owner Mike Henrie.
Just don’t trust Sean to leave a rope alone that’s clearly labeled “DO NOT PULL.”
After checking out the X-Scream, Trace and Sean ventured into an area plucked from the mind of H.P. Lovecraft. Check out the aquatic illusions created for the Call of Cthulu:
The adventure duo topped off the morning with a visit to another new feature, the labyrinth, which is infested with goblins and other subterranean creatures.
“We’re scared witless,” Sean said.
If you’re not scared of the orcs, you might be scared by the labyrinth’s rather unique rat infestation.
Nightmare on 13th, 320 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City, is open weeknights through Oct. 31, and Nov. 2 – 3. Go to nightmareon13th.com for information and tickets.
