SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah is kicking off the season in Sacramento, and with the new season comes a new hashtag: #TeamIsEverything.
Fans began putting it to use in anticipation of the Jazz vs. the Kings.
Go Jazz!
Utah’s Lt. Governor kicked off the trend in true Sanpete County style
YOU GUYS NO MORE SLEEPS! It’s finally @utahjazz game day and we be celebrating in Fairview like… #TeamIsEverything #TakeNote pic.twitter.com/r1EGexudQa

Utah’s other teams sent good vibes
Good luck today & the entire season, fam! #TeamIsEverything pic.twitter.com/xPlysT13O8

And the state’s universities threw in some love, too
#TeamIsEverything
Good luck this season @utahjazz! Hopefully we’ll see the guys at a few more games! #goutes pic.twitter.com/qAdrupOWZD— Utah Athletics (@utahathletics) October 17, 2018
@utahjazz we’re ALL behind you! Best wishes for the season! #TeamIsEverything #AggiesAllTheWay 🏀🏈 pic.twitter.com/7nxhs0ntIA

Some fans used the hashtag to take a trip down memory lane
I was 7-years old when I got my first @utahjazz trading card. It was this Jeff Malone card. The ONLY Malone I was familiar with at the time. 😂 I decided they were my team from that day on and they have been ever since. So glad Jazz Basketball is back tonight! #TeamIsEverything pic.twitter.com/64YR9nzNpp

The Jazz even have support in California!
Repping in Disneyland!! Let’s go baby!! #teamiseverything #takenote @utahjazz pic.twitter.com/2v0KvDmh1S

Not everyone thought #TeamIsEverything worked, though
Okay, we have to definitely cancel #teamiseverything @utahjazz @StevenStarks The Spurs already used this ten years ago. #TakeNote pic.twitter.com/Xpr8mhRZSb

Imagine having a perfect hashtag and replacing it with an inferior one for no real reason.

Some stated they preferred the Jazz’s old hashtag
Can we talk about the “official” hashtag? I’m still annoyed with #TeamIsEverything — why does the NBA get to decide the hashtags, some of the other teams have some really bad ones. Can we start a petition to bring back #takenote?
— Shara Park (@KSLSharaPark) October 17, 2018
A very strong preference, in fact
I totally plan to. I’m sorry but the NBA came up with some dumb ones this year. Stick with what’s working! And #TeamIsEverything is way too long and does nothing for the Jazz.
— Shara Park (@KSLSharaPark) October 17, 2018
Yeah, KSL TV’s Shara Park is pretty passionate about #TakeNote
All in favor of staying with #TakeNote instead of #TeamIsEverything for the @utahjazz say aye! #GoJazz
— Shara Park (@KSLSharaPark) October 17, 2018
We’ve got your back, Shara
— Shara Park (@KSLSharaPark) October 17, 2018
And hey, the Jazz are fine with both!
Imagine having a child (#TakeNote) and then having another one and loving it (#TeamIsEverything) and they’ll both be in family photos (the internet) and one does not replace the other it’s just expanding the family ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
