UHP: Students Perform CPR, Likely Save Life After Crash

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A driver reportedly experienced a medical episode while entering I-15 and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled and the driver was critically injured, according to Utah Highway Patrol troopers.
Before the driver was transported, some students stopped and stepped up to provide likely life-saving aid to the driver.
UHP said students from West High stopped and performed CPR on the injured driver that may very well have saved their life.

UHP has not released the identity of the driver or of the students.
The crash happened at the 600 North on ramp to I-15 northbound.
Officials said the driver was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The nature of their injuries has not been released.

Troopers reached out to the public to find the good Samaritan students.
They have since made contact and are planning to get statements from them about what happened.
