One Killed In Head-On Crash Involving Semi-Truck

INDIANOLA, Utah – One person was killed in a crash on U.S. Highway 89 near the Utah-Sanpete county line, according to officials with the Utah Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a silver Ford passenger car was traveling northbound on U.S. 89 Monday when it crossed the center line and struck the semi-truck head-on.
The driver of the Ford was killed on impact and troopers said the driver of the semi-truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
U.S. 89 was closed in both directions for several hours between the U.S. Highway 6 junction and Sanpete County while troopers investigated the crash.
One lane was reopened before 5:30 p.m. and troopers were alternating traffic through the area.
