COVE FORT, Utah – Southbound lanes of Interstate 15 have been reduced to one lane after a truck rolled over and lost its load of packages.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday near the junction with Interstate 70, about 30 miles south of Fillmore.
It was not clear what caused the truck to roll over. Officials with the Fillmore Volunteer Fire Department said the driver sustained “very minor injuries.”
Hundreds of packages were spread out across the right side of the roadway, and into the right lane of the interstate.
Crews were working to clean up the packages, and clear the roadway.
Officials from the Utah Department of Transportation expected the scene to be cleared around 1 p.m.
Soundbound lanes were backed up to the Historic Cove Fort exit at mile marker 135.
Drivers were advised to use Highway 161 through Cove Fort as an alternative.
