Watch: Casey Scott Attempts Belly Dance At Renaissance Faire

LEHI, Utah – KSL’s Casey Scott is known for being the biggest character on screen, but that wasn’t an easy feat to execute Friday.
He had some steep competition when he took a step back in time at the Utah Renaissance Faire, being held at Thanksgiving Point.
It began as an innocent interview. Casey was speaking with some of the folks involved with the event, including a man with two Irish wolf hounds, an actor portraying King Henry VIII, and a musician named Spike who was pounding out a beat on a doumbek drum.
That’s when Casey did his best to upstage the men who were dressed as if they’d just stepped out of 16th-century Europe.
“I feel like I need to do some belly dancing,” Casey said as the rhythm bounced from Spike’s drum. “I have a belly!”
Inspired by the drumming, he lifted up his shirt and shook his hips.
“Belly dancing” may not be the appropriate term to describe what Casey attempted. Whatever the accurate name may be, no one can dispute that “memorable” should be a descriptor.
“You just saw that. Drink it in,” he said. “Talk to the kids. Tell them Casey’s sorry.”
