WEST JORDAN, Utah – A 42-year-old Idaho Falls woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a truck in West Jordan.
Police said the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. She reportedly went into the road at 7800 South near 3000 West to stop traffic and help her husband turn his semi-truck around.
That’s when she was hit.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police said it was pitch dark at that time, and the truck driver is cooperating.
The woman’s husband ran into the road to help his wife, forgetting to put his semi in park. It rolled into a pillar of a nearby storefront.
