The Entire Country Is Going To Get A Presidential Alert

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Don’t be surprised when you get an emergency “Presidential Alert” tomorrow.
FEMA is planning to test its “Presidential Alert System” on Oct. 3 at 12:18 p.m. Mountain.
“The WEA system is a national public warning system that provides the President with the communications capability to address the nation during a national emergency,” according to the FEMA website.”
📳TOMORROW (Wednesday) 10/3: Expect to get a test emergency alert message on your phone at 2:18 PM EDT.
You’ll hear a loud tone & vibration. This is a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system.

According to FEMA, the Presidential Alerts are meant for national emergencies, which include extreme weather, AMBER Alerts, and other threatening emergencies.
If your cell phone is turned on and compatible (most newer phones are), then you’ll receive the following message:
“THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
