FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – This weekend’s Sunday Night Football on NBC will see the Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots.
Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks convened to discuss the game on NFL’s Week 6 Game Preview.
Eyes will be on Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, but Jeremiah and Brooks are paying attention to some of the other players.
“Buck, I cannot wait for this game,” Jeremiah said. “And while most people are looking at the star quarterbacks in this game, we’re keeping an eye on those running backs.”
“It’s all about the running backs,” Brooks said.
For Sunday’s matchup, the Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt and the Patriots’ Sony Michel will be the ones to watch.
Hunt is a dual playmaker — he’s a runner and a receiver, and the Chiefs can really utilize him in the passing game.
There aren’t a lot of frills with Michel, Jeremiah said.
“He’s going to get downhill and he’s going to make things happen,” he said.
It’ll come down to whatever team can run the ball and keep the other offense off the field.
“I love what the Patriots have been doing … but I just think Kansas City is too good right now,” Brooks said. “I believe their weapons on offense give them edge. I’m going with Kansas City in this match.”
“I’m going to go with the Patriots,” Jeremiah said. “Tom Brady and company, I think they get that run game cranked up a little bit, keep that Chiefs defense on their heels.”
“This is going to be, no doubt, the most entertaining game of the weekend,” he added.
