Social Media On Fire As Fans Gear Up For Jazz Home Opener

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It’s been 166 days since the Utah Jazz hosted their last game of the 2017-2018 season – a playoff loss to Houston. Jazz fans have been waiting for their next chance to cheer on the team at home.

Since then, Rudy Gobert was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year award, Donovan Mitchell was the runner up to the Rookie of the Year, and Quin Snyder was runner up to Coach of the Year.

They picked up Duke’s Grayson Allen in the draft, had a solid effort in the summer leagues, and went 5-0 in preseason play. The Jazz also started the season off in Sacramento with a 123-117 win over the Kings.

Then came Game 2 – the first home game at Vivint Smart Home Arena and the reigning NBA champions, the Golden Stake Warriors – a team Utah went 3-1 against during the regular season.

The big day has finally arrived. To say Utah fans (and the team itself) weren’t going in to Friday night’s game excited would be an understatement.
