SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah has proudly proclaimed it has the Greatest Snow on Earth.
How is the ski town culture, though? According to USA TODAY’s 10 Best, it’s pretty good. Of the 20 nominees for best ski town in the U.S. and Canada, two of them are in Utah.
Park City is described as having that feel of a Wild West mining town with the amenities of a world-class ski resort. Salt Lake City also made it into the top 20.
Utah also got nods in other categories such as Best Après-Ski Bar (Goldminer’s Saloon in Alta, High West Distillery in Park City, Peruvian Bar in Alta), Best Ski Hotel (Goldener Hirsch Inn in Park City, Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge in Alta), and Best Ski Resort (Alta Ski Area, Deer Valley in Park City, Snowbird).
