VERNAL, Utah – Educators and law enforcement at Uintah High School are reassuring parents after rumors of a threat at the school.
A post on the high school’s Facebook page late Thursday night thanked parents and students for being observant about law enforcement inside the school.
“Please know we have not received any threats about a danger to our kids…” according to the post. “If we had, we would absolutely let you know.”
The Uintah County Sheriff’s office posted a few minutes later on its Facebook page a similar message, which gave some details about the law enforcement presence.
“Sheriff’s deputy’s [sic] were investigating a picture that has circulated around the internet for quite some time,” according to the post, “however the picture DID NOT contain any threats.”
