One Killed In Salt Lake Officer-Involved Shooting

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – One person has been killed in what investigators said was an officer-involved shooting in Salt Lake City.
There was a heavy police presence at 800 North Sir Michael Drive, just northeast of the Interstate 215 interchange at 700 North, just after 8 p.m. Friday.
Details about what happened were not available, but officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said no officers were hurt.
At least one officer fired on the person, who was then transported to the hospital in critical condition. The person later died from their injuries.
The identity of the person killed was not released.
Detectives from the West Valley Police Department have been called in to be the investigating agency.
