SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Thanksgiving is less than a week away, and celebrating it this year will cost less than it did last year.
According to the American Farm Bureau, the average cost for dinner this year will be $48.90. That comes down to just less than $5 per person for a group of 10.
The turkey alone will cost an average of $21.70. Other items in the survey include stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
While the cost is down, it only fell by 22 cents from last year’s $49.12.
