OGDEN, Utah – Funeral services were held Saturday for Army Major Brent Russell Taylor, who was killed on November 3 while serving with the Utah National Guard in Afghanistan.
Maj. Taylor was laid to rest in Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden following funeral services at Dee Events Center in Ogden. His wife, Jennie, and all seven of his children, including his 11-month-old daughter were all presented with American flags at the graveside.
Maj. Taylor was deployed at the beginning of the year while serving as mayor of North Ogden. He took a leave of absence from that position to serve overseas.
