Police Ask For Public’s Help To ID Man In Layton Armed Robbery

LAYTON, Utah – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they say robbed a gas station at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
The man robbed a Chevron, located at 1508 N. Highway 89, shortly before 7 a.m., Layton police said in a statement. A security camera screenshot posted by police shows the man pointing a gun at a male clerk. Police said he also demanded money from the register.
No other customers were inside the store at the time and no one was injured in the robbery, police said.
The man may have fled the area in a white SUV, police said.
The man is described as white, 6-feet tall, “average weight” and is believed to be 20 to 25 years old. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie and black-and-orange mask.
