SANDY, Utah – The Festival of Trees has become a statewide Christmas tradition.
The trees on display are up for auction, and all the proceeds go to Primary Children’s Hospital.
KSL TV’s adventure specialist Sean Smith was at the Mountain America Expo Center, 9575 S. State St., Sandy, for a preview of the event.
Sean spoke to tree designers who have been helped by Primary Children’s Hospital, as well as one of the volunteers in charge of selling treats at the event.
There’s reportedly 5,000 pounds of fudge to be sold.
As for the trees, many of them are decorated in honor of someone — that includes a tree honoring fallen South Salt Lake Police officer David Romrell.
The Festival of Trees is happening through Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the Mountain America Expo Center. Go to the Primary Children’s Hospital website for tickets and information.
