Solitude Opens to Record Number of Skiers and Riders

SOLITUDE, Utah – Utah celebrated the first day of December with snow, and many of the ski resorts were packed.
It was opening day at Solitude this morning for the 2018-19 ski season and there was plenty of snow for the lovers of the slopes to enjoy.
Solitude says this was the resorts biggest opening day ever in terms of skiers and riders on the hill.
They say, so far, they are just short of 90-inches of snow, two feet from the last storm.
And, there was plenty of snow and riders enjoying the winter weather at Snowbird Saturday too. Snowbird reported a 50-inch base.
