SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – As winter break continues for a number of schools, a lot of families may be heading out to some of the national parks in Utah.
While the state isn’t taking the hardest hit from the government shutdown just yet, national parks are working with limited resources.
According to a tweet from Utah.gov, the visitors centers at Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks are open to answer questions from travelers.

Guidelines from the Department of the Interior state that restrooms, trash collection, road maintenance and additional facilities are among the services that are not being provided during the shutdown.
One park has been forced to make some changes. The shutdown prompted the Golden Spike National Historic Site in northern Utah to cancel its Winter Steam Festival.
