Utah Food Bank – South Salt Lake

KSL TV, KSL Newsradio, FM100.3, and 103.5 The Arrow are teaming up with the Utah Food Bank to raise money to help furloughed federal employees throughout the shutdown. We will be hosting a telethon Tuesday, January 22, 2019 to help raise money for the Utah Food Bank.
DONATE by calling 801.575.HOPE until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22nd.
100% of the money we receive will be donated to the Utah Food Bank
The Utah Food Bank has 150 partners across the state. With every $1, they can provide $7.34 in goods and services. Here is a list of the food they currently need:
- Peanut Butter
- Mac & Cheese
- Canned Meats (tuna, chicken or beef)
- Chili
- SpaghettiOs/Ravioli
- Canned Fruits
- Other Boxed Meals

MayMoes in Logan is offering free breakfast for furloughed federal employees every Saturday morning. The owner says he will continue to do this throughout the shutdown until he runs out of money or food.

They are offering 350 boxed lunches every Monday throughout lunch and dinner through the shutdown for TSA employees.
Uinta Brewing Company – Salt Lake City
Receive a 20 percent discount off of food only with government identification. This only includes food and no alcohol. They are also giving away a free 32oz unfilled growler while supplies last.

The zoo is offering FREE admission for federal employees and their immediate families. Just bring your government identification.
Same Day Heating and Air – Salt Lake City

They are waiving diagnostic fees, which are the fees to have them come out, and they are offering 20 percent discounts on all services and equipment.
They are offering payment deferrals to furloughed federal workers. Call their financial department at 1-877-315-0183.

They are offering free admission to games for those affected by the government shutdown.

Logan LW’s truck stop giving free lunches to furloughed federal employees
America First Credit Union
America First is offering a 30-day interest free loan up to one month’s pay ($4,000) for federal employees, after the 30 days it’s 4.99% on a 7-month term.
Weber County Animal Shelter – Weber County Residents

They are giving away free animal food to Weber County residents with government identification.
Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum – Salt Lake City

They are offering free admission to furloughed federal workers and their families. Regular business hours are: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 6 p.m.
