SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It is a family event, happening now at Utah Valley University before heading to Ogden.
KSL TV’s adventure specialist Trace Worthington took a trip to the big top to check out the Jordan World Circus, which is currently touring around Utah.
Trace caught up with Ringmaster Ari Steeples.
“We got tigers, we got elephants, we got the Cannon Lady, we got pretty girls in the air, we got funny clowns, jugglers, a little bit of everything,” he said.
The Cannon Lady, by the way, is shot about 60 feet high into the air once each show, and she lands in a net about 90 feet away.
Trace also got a peek at some of the circus animals, including a pair of young tigers and an elephant.
“These are actually 10 generations that my family had born and raised in the circus,” said trainer Adam Burck about the tigers. “We’ve been doing it for almost 40 years now.”
