A North Salt Lake plumbing company is reeling after a burglar broke into their yard and got away with thousands of dollars in tools and equipment.
“We had a guy come and break in and take some things that did not belong to him and actually took one of our dollys and loaded up the tools and carted them out of here,” said Blake Flannery, of Shamrock Plumbing.
It happened, Sunday night, just before sundown, but the burglar or burglars, came back several hours later at 3am, early Monday morning and stole even more valuable tools.
“Some people think it was two guys, some people think it was one guy, he had a beard and when we came back he had shaved, but we know he was in the same vehicle both times,” Flannery added.
A silver Honda CRV, with the license plate turned around backwards, making it more difficult for police to track. The theft is not only frustrating for the company, but it is really impacting the employees. Many had their own personal tools they use on the job site, stolen.
“We know how hard our guys work and he is stealing from them and that was the most frustrating part,” he said.
While the company is working with their employees and insurance to recover the losses, they believe that if the right people see the video, police will be able to solve the case.
“The North Salt Lake police department has been fantastic to work with, and we just hope someone recognizes them and reaches out to them so we can make sure this doesn’t happen again,” Flannery said.
