LOGAN, Utah – Police have identified a 23-year-old man who died after allegedly being shot by his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend.
Logan City Police said they responded to a call of a shot fired at 643 River Bend Road at approximately 6:30 a.m. Friday, where they found Dylan Milian, 23, with a gunshot wound.
Milian’s ex-girlfriend, 28-year-old Jordan Oakden, and Oakden’s mother, 53-year-old Cynthia Trinder, were attempting life-saving procedures. First responders took over and administered CPR, but attempts were unsuccessful and Milian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the incident was a domestic dispute between Milian and 26-year-old Jeremy Boyle, who is Oakden’s current boyfriend.
Logan City Police Capt. Tyson Budge said Boyle admitted to shooting Milian and was taken into custody. He is reportedly cooperating with police.
“There was also a family in that apartment, so we’ve been trying to deal with the children and the other relatives at this time,” he said.
There were four children under the age of seven inside the apartment. A victim advocate arrived on scene, and all family members were taken to the Children’s Justice Center.
“It’s sad,” Budge said. “This is an unfortunate event, and we hope to try to prevent this kind of things.”
The investigation is ongoing.
