Police release identity of victim in Millcreek homicide

MILLCREEK, Utah – Police have released the identity of a man killed in Millcreek.
Unified Police Department said Steven Richard Nyce, 61, died Monday afternoon.
Tyler James Vernon, 37, was booked into jail for aggravated murder.
UPD Sgt. Melody Gray told KSL the death is being investigated as a possible homicide. Gray said the investigation is at 1280 E. 3770 South in Millcreek.
Police responded to a report of a man that had been injured at the address.
When they arrived, they attempted to talk to a man near the scene that had blood on his hands. After a scuffle, he was taken into custody for questioning.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about what may have happened in the home to call Unified police.
