LAYTON — A 4-year-old child was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital Sunday afternoon after the lower part of his arm was bitten off by a dog.
Layton Fire Battalion Chief Jason Cook said it happened at 1042 N. 3575 West. He said it appears the little boy, who had a sock on his hand, was playing with the dog through a fence. At some point the dog bit at the sock, amputating the boy’s arm just above the wrist.
More details about the incident were not immediately available, but Cook said the child is expected to survive.
