UHP: Troopers Find 100 Pounds Of Pot During Traffic Stop

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A routine traffic stop in Morgan County ended with a Missouri couple behind bars for possessing large amounts of marijuana.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers said they stopped a truck on I-84 for following too closely and not properly using a signal. During the stop, the troopers said they could smell marijuana.
When authorities searched the truck, they said they discovered more than 100 pounds of pot along with a loaded handgun.
James Roger McCollum, 59, of Lane Ozark, Missouri, was charged with possession of 100 pounds or more of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
Joyce Ann Pressnell, 59, of Lane Ozark, Missouri, was also charged with possession of 100 pounds or more of marijuana as well as drug possession.
