SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah – Police on Tuesday identified a Kearns man who died after he was struck by two vehicles on March 9.
William Eric Moellmer, 51, was killed at 136 W. 3300 South about 5:30 a.m. that day, police said.
South Salt Lake police detective Gary Keller said that officers received calls of a man walking in the road just before the crash. He added that the man was underdressed for the weather conditions at the time.
It remains unclear why Moellmer was in the road. Drivers of the vehicles that struck him remained on scene and cooperated with police, Keller said.
