Baby Cough Syrup Being Recalled Due To Potential Bacterial Contamination

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Kingston Pharma is recalling its 2-fluid ounce bottles of DG / health NATURALS baby Cough Syrup + Mucus due to a potential bacterial contamination.
The cough syrup could contain Bacillus cereus / Bacillus circulans, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Those with a higher risk of severe forms of the illness include infants, young children and those with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.
“Most often, illnesses are mild and self-limiting, although more serious and even lethal cases have occurred,” according to an FDA statement.
No illnesses have been reported yet.
The cough syrup was sold nationwide in Dollar General stores. Consumers who purchased the DG / health NATURALS baby Cough syrup + Mucus can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
