PROVO, Utah – Brigham Young University responded to an Instagram page and a petition that are both calling for an overhaul of the university’s Honor Code Office.
The university tweeted that they’re aware of the conversations happening and that the “messages are leading to constructive dialogue between students and the leadership of the Honor Code Office.”
We’ve seen the conversations this week about the Honor Code Office. We love our students and alums and how much they care about BYU. These messages are leading to constructive dialogue between students and the leadership of the Honor Code Office.

The tweet was in response to the Instagram account called Honor Code Stories, where students have been sharing anonymously their negative experiences with the HCO. The account also brought attention to a petition calling for a change to the honor code.
That petition now has more than 16,000 signatures.
