Police Identify High School Student Killed In West Valley City Crash

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A deadly crash Wednesday night on Mountain View Corridor claimed the life of a 18-year-old woman.
Officials identified her as Talia Littlefield. She was a senior at Stansbury High School.
Police said a 17-year-old driver and Littlefield, who was the passenger, were traveling westbound on 6200 South at approximately 8:15 p.m. when they ran a red light. Another car then hit the teen’s vehicle on the passenger side.

Littlefield died at the scene. The two drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities haven’t determined if impairment was a factor in the crash, but they said speed certainly was.
There have been crashes in the area, officials said, but they aren’t aware of any fatalities.
