SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Shelter the Homeless has unveiled the new Gail Miller Homeless Resource Center.
The organization says it took some convincing to get her to let it name the facility after her but it wanted to do it to say thank you for the work she and her family does to support those experiencing homelessness.

This will be one of three resource centers spread across the city and is designed to not only provide shelter but services like employment training, medical care, storage, counseling and long-term support.
“This building screams dignity… it means that those who are suffering can find a place to restore their dignity and reclaim their lives and become part of society in a meaningful way,” Miller said.
The Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation will match contributions to Shelter the Homeless dollar-for-dollar up to $10 million.
To date, donations matched by the Miller Family Foundation have equaled more than $4.6 million.
