SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox officially threw his hat into the governor’s race ring Tuesday with a video posted to Twitter.
In his first television interview after the announcement, Cox spoke with KSL TV’s Shara Park to talk about his upcoming campaign.
“The people that run campaigns will try to convince you that the only way to win is to go negative,” he said. “We don’t believe that’s true here in Utah.”
Cox is the first person to announce his candidacy for governor.
