WEST BOUNTIFUL, Utah – Police are looking for three suspects after an early-morning armed robbery at a 7-Eleven.
At least two of the three alleged robbers were carrying guns, authorities said.
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. Thursday at 1109 W. 500 South.
“Three suspects came into the store,” said West Bountiful Police Department Chief Todd Hixson. “Two of them jumped over the counter (and) began taking product from behind the counter. The third held the cashier at gunpoint.”
He said the take-over-style robbery took less than two minutes.
Police haven’t determined how much cash was stolen, but Hixson said the men focused on Juul brand vape products.
“The three suspects appeared to be young,” Hixson said. “They were covered head to toe. It’s going to be somewhat difficult to try to identify them.”
However, Hixson said police do have some specific identifiers that may help them track down the suspects.
“One of them was unable to stand on their left leg,” he said. “It looks like they were standing on their right leg and having to hop in order to move.”
The first suspect is described as male, white or Hispanic, 17 – 20 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build.
He was wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and a black ski mask. He appears to be wearing a bracelet or have tattoos on each wrist.
The second suspect is described male, white or Hispanic, 17 – 20 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build.
He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word “Colorado” and a design of mountains and sun rays. He wore tight, blue pants, black dress shoes with white socks and a gray and black ski mask with a gray ball on top.
The third suspect, who appeared to have the leg injury, is described as a male. The clerk at 7-Eleven described him as black. In the surveillance video, he appears to have light skin. He’s between 17 – 20 years old, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall with an average build.
He was wearing a green camouflage hooded jacket under a black t-shirt. He wore a black mask and red track-style pants with white stripes down the legs. He was wearing only one black shoe with a white sole on the right foot. On his left foot, he wore a black sock with a white emblem on top.
He was seen carrying a metal crutch after leaving the store.
The suspects were also carrying a blue and black drawstring bag with the words “BD South Titans” on the front, and a light blue camouflage or tie dye backpack.
The three individuals fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
