Two Dead After Helicopter Crash In Utah County

UTAH COUNTY, Utah —Crews have located a helicopter that crashed in the mountains above Alpine today, the two people on board did not survive.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon told KSL TV Utah County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 4 p.m. Friday from the Air Force saying family members called about an overdue helicopter.
The chopper reportedly took off from the Vernal Airport. It crashed in the Horsetail Falls area of the mountains over Alpine.

The FAA is reporting preliminary details about the crash, saying two people were on board when the helicopter crashed uner unknown circumstances.
The FAA and NTSB will investigate, neither are identifying the people involved in the crash at this time.
