Tanker Hauling Butane Rolls Into Deer Creek Reservoir

CHARLESTON, Utah – A semi-truck hauling butane rolled into Deer Creek Reservoir Tuesday morning, authorities said.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the mile post 25 on US 189 that runs through Provo Canyon. The driver was uninjured.
UHP originally reported the truck was hauling propane.
Officials closed US 189 but reopened soon afterward.
“We’ve opened up both directions of (US) 189 …” according to a UHP tweet. “That may change as the cleanup process continues.”
