Man Dies After Hang Glider Crash At Point Of The Mountain

LEHI, Utah – A man died Tuesday after he was involved in a hang glider crash at Point of the Mountain Flight Park, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said Ron Holder, 59, from Rupert, Idaho, died after his hang glider suddenly fell 50 feet. It was his first solo flight.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon said CPR was administered, but Holder was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses said it appeared the wind died while Holder was in flight, according to a media release from UCSO. He suffered significant head trauma as well as other injuries.
