SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – KSL TV has learned more about the owner of the home at 550 North and 1000 West in the Fairpark area, which Salt Lake City Police searched in connection to missing 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck.
Officials are not releasing the 31-year-old man’s identity at this time, but they said he is a person of interest.
In 2016, the homeowner was evicted from the Ridgeview Apartments in North Salt Lake. The apartments are just south of Hatch Park, where Lueck was last seen. A Lyft driver witnessed her willingly enter into another person’s car at approximately 3 a.m. on June 17.
Ridgeview Apartments management said they are unable to access records beyond three years on tenants and couldn’t provide any additional information on the man or why he was evicted.
It does not appear the man has any criminal history in Utah.
His Fairpark property was listed on Airbnb, and it had several reviews from people who stayed in the home. Neighbors said he lived in the upper level of the house and rented out the basement. However, the listing has since been removed from the vacation rental site.
According to Salt Lake City Police Department, detectives have spoken with the man but he has not been arrested.
