Crews Battle Brush Fire In Cottonwood Heights

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah – Crews responded early Wednesday morning to a brush fire in the area of 6200 South and Wasatch Boulevard.
Firefighters were called to the fire just after 2 a.m. and were able to get the blaze contained in approximately an hour.
No structures were destroyed and no evacuations were ordered. Crews will remain on scene throughout the day to monitor hot spots.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There have been numerous reports of fireworks in the area. Authorities are reminding residents to not use fireworks in prohibited zones.
