ROY, Utah – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a group of teenagers they say are responsible for breaking dozens of sprinkler heads at a city park.
Authorities said they received reports of teenagers on bikes who were riding around and hitting sprinkler heads with golf clubs in Emma Russell Park on Wednesday.
More than 40 sprinkler heads were damaged, officials said.
“Our parks department has a busy schedule throughout the season, keeping our parks looking good for public use,” according to a statement from Roy Police Department. “This type of vandalism not only costs the city money but takes our park workers away from their daily park duties.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Roy Police at 801-629-8221.
