Officials Identify Man Who Died After Being Crushed By Car At Salvage Yard

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah – Authorities on Tuesday released the identity of a man who died when a vehicle he was working on fell on him.
Trent Thatcher, 48, of West Valley City, was working Monday at the Pick-n-Pull salvage yard located at 585 W. 3300 South, South Salt Lake, when the car shifted and fell.
South Salt Lake Police said Thatcher was pinned beneath the vehicle. He was then transported the hospital where he died of his injuries.
The incident is being treated as an industrial accident and not being investigated as suspicious, officials said.
