SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Salt Lake County Sheriff on Wednesday launched the Jail Dashboard Project, which promises more transparency about the incarcerated community.
The information, available at slcsheriff.org, breaks down the jail population by gender, race, age and severity of crimes.
“This opens up a window that hasn’t been opened up before,” Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said.
