Multiple Suspects Taken Into Custody After Apparent Orem Shootout

OREM, Utah – Police are looking for at least one person who remains at large after a apparent shootout at an apartment complex.
Authorities said the incident happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Promenade Place Apartments in the area of 1100 South and Geneva Road, just a few blocks away from Utah Valley University in Orem.
Officials with the Orem Police Department said they received multiple 911 calls reporting a possible shooting at the location. When they arrived, they found several shell casings near the building’s parking garage. However, officials said anyone involved had already left the scene.
Authorities called in a SWAT team as a precaution.
Surveillance footage suggests there were two people involved in an altercation that included an exchange of gunfire. Police used the footage to track down several individuals suspected to be involved, two of whom police believe live at Promenade Place.
Officials took four people into custody and are still searching for a fifth person. Police did not provide a description of the fifth individual.
No injuries have been reported.
