OREM, Utah – One man has been arrested following a reported shooting at the Promenade Place Apartments, and police are still looking for two others.
Nicholas James Jordan, 23, of American Fork, was booked into the Utah County Jail for outstanding warrants and will likely face felony charges later Wednesday for the alleged shooting that happened Tuesday.
“His warrant is for being in possession of a firearm by a restricted person, ”said Orem Police Lt. Trent Colledge.
Colledge said there was an argument between two groups of people and that both sides pulled out handguns and fired shots. Police initially took four people into custody, Jordan being one of them. The other three were later released.
Officials said they’re still looking for two people.
“That’s the priority now is to try and locate them,” Colledge said.
He said authorities believe they know who the individuals might be, but they’re keeping the information confidential while they investigate further.
Colledge did say the two people appear to be college-aged, and they don’t believe they are a danger to residents living at Promenade Place.
No injuries were reported.
