SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – Two children suffered critical injuries after being ejected from a vehicle in a rollover crash on South Jordan Parkway.
Police said a 29-year-old woman was driving the car when it rolled over. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The two children, ages eight and nine, were taken to an area hospital by ambulance and were expected to survive.
The incident happened before 1:45 p.m. Friday near 1200 West South Jordan Parkway.
The parkway was closed after a medical helicopter was requested but was not used. Sergeant Sam Winkler with South Jordan Police said traffic would be an issue until they finished their investigation.
Winkler recommended drivers use 9000 South or 11400 South as alternate routes.
