SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Fire crews responded to a business fire after it was reported by an EMT who just happened to be driving by in an ambulance, authorities said.
The fire started Monday night in the area of 700 East and South Temple.
Fire crews responded quickly and found that a small fire in the building had already burned itself out. Officials said it was lucky the EMT happened to be driving by because they don’t know what could have happened had the fire not been reported.
Damage was confined to one room of the office, with minor smoke damage in other places.
No injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause.
