Police Searching For At-Large Rape Suspect In Cedar City

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Police are searching for an at-large rape suspect in Cedar City who they consider to be a public safety risk.

The incident happened Wednesday night near 600 West and 1045 North in Cedar City, according to police.

Sergeant Clint Pollock with the Cedar City Police Department said the incident happened at an apartment complex in the area and anyone in the residential area should be vigilant, aware of their surroundings and have safety measures in place to protect themselves.

They described the suspect as a Caucasian male with an average build who is between 5-foot-8 and six feet tall. He was wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and a dark mask.

Police said anyone with information to contact detectives at 435-586-2956.
