HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Netflix announced it has renewed the worldwide hit “Stranger Things” for a fourth season.
Additionally, officials with the streaming service said Monday they have signed the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, to a multi-year film and series overall deal.
“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos in a press release. “We can’t wait to see what The Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.”
No premiere date was given for the show’s fourth season. Season 1 debuted in July 2016 and season 2 was released just before Halloween 2017.
Season 3 was released earlier this year on July 4.
