Union Pacific Big Boy Chugga-Chugga-Choo-Choos Back Into Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Union Pacific Big Boy made its triumphant return to the Beehive State on Tuesday, giving residents in Summit and Morgan counties a morning show.
Train enthusiasts lined up to see the World War II-era steam locomotive as it pulled into stations in Echo and Morgan.

The No. 4014 steam locomotive, which is one of the largest steam locomotives in the world, was last seen during the Golden Spike Anniversary celebration in May.
The Big Boy is scheduled to arrive at the Rose Park station in Salt Lake City at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and will depart at 2:15 p.m. From there, it will head to the station at 1000 South and 400 East in Provo where it will be on display until Oct. 3.
The locomotive will make additional stops in Utah through Oct. 5:
- 300 W. 300 North, Nephi – Arrives Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m., departs at 11:15 a.m.
- 200 N. St. Crossing, Delta – Arrives Oct. 4 at 1:45 p.m., departs at 2:30 p.m.
- 200 S. 100 East, Milford – Arrives Oct. 4 at 5 p.m., departs Oct. 5 at 9 a.m.
- Modena Road near old water tower, Modena – Arrives Oct. 5 at 11 a.m., departs at 11:30 a.m.
