SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Police said they are looking for the person who crashed a car into a home in the Avenues area.
The incident happened shortly after midnight Saturday.
Salt Lake City Police Lt. Brett Olsen said a neighbor heard the crash and called authorities. When officers arrived, they found a large hole in the the house and a car inside. The driver fled the scene on foot.
The Utah Highway Patrol had dealt with the same vehicle several hours earlier, Olsen said. However, it’s unclear if the person driving the vehicle at the time of the interaction with the UHP was the same person responsible for crashing into the house.
No one was in the home at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
